The North American anti-terrorist force Team America attacks a group of terrorist in Paris. Later, the leader of the organization, Spottswoode, invites the famous Broadway actor Gary Johnston to join his world police and work undercover in Cairo in a terrorist organization and disclose their plan of destroying the world. The Team America destroy the cell of terrorists, but then the Panama Canal is attacked by the criminals as a payback. Gary feels responsible for the death of many innocents and leaves the counter-terrorism organization. When the leader of North Korea, Kim Jong II, joins a group of pacifist actors and actresses with the intention of using weapons of massive destruction, the Team America tries to avoid the destruction of the world.

This film try to gibe those American right-winger.Michael Moore,director of Fahrenheit 9/11,is one of the puppet. In the end of this film,there's a impressive speech. Using metaphor through 3 nasty words to dig at the stupid and arrogant Americans,the week movie union,autarchical Kim Jong Il.



Compare with "Borat". They're like neck and neck--The nasty parts.(One of my friend imitated Borat on the train in Tokyo--"Veeeery nice!")Also,hilarious.


Especially that song "the end of an act"(It's so vexatious that Mr.Bay reproduced "The Bird"and this summer he's going to blemish my childhood memory by making "Transformers"I used to have some of the robots)


Directed by the producer of "South Park",Trey Parker.This puppet film full of not only f-words but a lot of nasty hit at world situation.(terrorism,the leader of North Korea,Kim Jong-il. Hollywood,movie stars)

The story is like a cookie cutter,Mr. Bay's usual number--slow motion and explosions.However, the scene design,props and the puppets are professional.

It's not a folky B-film which you'd forget about it in the next morning. You sing the song "America,f*ck yeah" while picking the broken bits of popcorn between your teeth. Some of the dirty jokes stick to your brain just like a song "If you leave me now" pops out of your friends mouth and then you'd be annoyed by this for a week.

If you had a old lover who's a poet studies Charles Olsen,and a best friend who's working on Experimental film,you'd love this movie.
